The Hicks Morely Moot Competition, sponsored by Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie LLP, is an annual moot focusing on labour arbitration. The Hicks Morely Moot Competition brings together 12 teams of two students each to moot against each other in front of senior lawyers from the firm acting as judges. Students will represent either unions or management in problems based on realistic labour law situations. The best management-side and union-side teams are selected to compete in the championship round.
The Hicks Morely Moot Competition is an excellent opportunity for students interested in labour law to gain experience in research and advocacy. No factum or formal written argument is required for the moot.
The Hicks Morely Moot Competition is organized and promoted by the Osgoode Labour and Employment Law Society.
