Distinguished Professor of Practice Paul Maharg has been awarded $63,500 for 2020-21 for his project, “Sharesim.net: Open educational resources for simulation in higher education” through York’s Academic Innovation Fund (AIF).
“We believe that your project provides a valuable contribution to advancing Experiential Education/Student Success and Retention/Internationalization initiatives,” Lisa Philipps, Provost and Vice-President Academic, and Norma Sue Fisher-Stitt, Interim AVP Teaching and Learning, wrote in a letter to Maharg.
“The AIF Steering Committee reviewed all the applications very carefully. The review and assessment took into account a number of factors but we were most interested in projects that are curricular in nature and will assist with the embedding of eLearning, Experiential Education (EE) Internationalization, and/or Student Success and Retention Strategies in degree programs. Highest priority was given to proposals that demonstrated that they are sustainable, scalable and affordable.”
