Zixuan Feng is Associate Professor in the school of Applicable Law and a Fellow of the China Arbitration Research Centre at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China. She is also the Deputy Dean of Law Enforcement. She will be visiting Osgoode from November 2016 to October 2017.
Feng completed her Masters of Constitution and Administrative Law and PhD with honors from the Southwest University of Political Science & Law. From 2009-2010 she has been the Assistant Judge of Administrative Litigation in High People’s Court of Chongqing Municipality. Since 2011 she has been working as a Lecturer of Administrative Law in Southwest University of Political Science & Law and served as Associate Professor of Administrative Law since 2013.
Her research focuses on comparative administrative law, government regulation and public policy (environmental policy) in China. Her research projects on environmental policy and environmental risk control have been granted financial aid from the National Social Science Fund of China and the Social Science Fund of Chongqing Municipality. Feng holds the view that optimizing regulation is a key part of the Chinese government reform and it can bridge the gap between public policy and enacted law. Her insights have been published in national journals and academic conferences.
