Working with Microsoft 365 Apps

Access Microsoft 365 Apps through your browser, or install the apps on your Windows or macOS device.

  1. Sign in to https://portal.office.com using your Passport York credentials (username@yorku.ca)
  2. Click Install Office
  3. Run the downloaded file to install Office applications
  4. Sign into Office when prompted using your Passport York credentials (username@yorku.ca)

Mobile Devices

Install Office applications from the Apple App store or Google Play store.

Online Training

Interactive Online Courses

Online training for all of the Microsoft 365 Apps including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint–is available through LinkedIn Learning and on the Microsoft 365 Training site.

These interactive courses cover basic to intermediate topics, and will give you the knowledge you need to effectively use the products.  Each module is relatively short, so you can go through them at your own pace.

  2. Click Sign In at the top of the page
  3. Click Sign in with your organization portal
  4. Type ca
  5. Sign in with your Passport York account
