Lecture Recordings
Service Details
Osgoode Hall Law School provides audio recordings of lectures for students requiring accommodations.
- Lecture Recordings capture voice, video and the computer screen
- Instructors have control over when they start, pause and end recordings
- Access to Lecture Recordings is governed by the Lecture Recording Policy in the Student Handbook, and is managed by the Office of Admissions and Student Services
- Recordings are only accessible through the eClass LMS or via direct links for restricted recordings
- Recordings are available only until the third week of August each year

Recording Lectures
Lecture Hall
- Lecture Halls have Panopto installed on the PCs in the room. Sign into Panopto and use the microphone provided to record your lecture

Seminar Room
- If your class is in a seminar room, use your own laptop to record a class in a seminar room.

Other Recording Options
If you are recording a class off campus, it is recommended to use Panopto. If you are recording a synchronous class off campus, it is recommended to use Zoom.
Accessing Recorded Lectures
- Faculty members can access their own recordings through Panopto
Requesting Training
- Visit the Panopto How-to Videos & Tutorials page for step-by-step instructions and videos on using Panopto
- Additional training is available upon request; see Classroom Technology for information on requesting training
- Additional training sessions are offered prior to the start of each semester
- Assistance is provided at the beginning of the first class of each semester
