Paul Vayda received a BA from University of Toronto and received his LLB from the University of Ottawa, graduating summa cum laude.
At the University of Cambridge, Mr. Vayda earned a LL.M.(c),with a commercial specialization in a program that included papers in comparative family law, restitution, commercial insurance law, and international intellectual property law.
Mr. Vayda has been a practicing lawyer both as a Barrister and a Solicitor for 40 years, primarily as the Managing lawyer for the CAW (now Unifor) Legal Services Plan, specializing in contract litigation.
After a short retirement, Mr. Vayda is now legal counsel for a very promising green manufacturing company.
As an adjunct professor, now in his 13 year of teaching, Mr. Vayda has taught contracts and Access to Justice at the University of Windsor, and Legal Process and Legal Ethics at Osgoode.
Mr. Vayda’s academic interests include Access to Justice and Legal Ethics.
Hart Schwartz brings to Osgoode 40 years of experience in constitutional and public law. His expertise is in appellate and trial advocacy, with a particular emphasis on comparative legal research. Hart was General Counsel with the Constitutional Law Branch of Ontario’s Ministry of the Attorney General for most of 1987 to 2022. He served as the Legal Director for the Ontario Human Rights Commission from 2002 to 2008. Hart was also the Legal Director for the Ministry’s Workplace Improvement Office from 2017 to 2018. From 1996 to 1998, he was a Lecturer in law at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. He has also taught constitutional law or appellate advocacy courses at Wilfrd Laurier, Queens Law, Windsor Law and, since 2017, at Osgoode. Hart’s articles can be found in, among others, the Canadian Bar Review, Supreme Court Law Review, National Journal of Constitutional Law, Osgoode Law Review, Criminal Reports and the New Zealand Law Review.

Brad Ross is a partner at Goodmans LLP. He has a broad transactional-based practice involving all aspects of corporate and securities law, with particular emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. He also assists companies with their corporate governance and continuous disclosure obligations.
Mr. Ross is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he teaches Case Studies in Business Enterprises.
Malcolm Mercer is the Chair of the Ontario Law Society Tribunal which adjudicates lawyer and paralegal conduct, capacity and licensing disputes. He speaks and writes regularly on legal ethics. He is an adjunct professor of Osgoode Hall Law School, teaching legal ethics, and a member of the Canadian Association for Legal Ethics. Malcolm was previously the administrator of the Thunder Bay Police Services Board. Malcolm was previously an elected bencher from and Treasurer of the Law Society of Ontario, which regulates lawyers and paralegals in Ontario. Malcolm has been a member of the Ontario Judicial Council, Chair of the Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, Ethics and Regulatory Team Lead for the CBA Futures Project, General Counsel to and litigation partner of McCarthy Tétrault LLP and member of the Immigration Appeal Division of the Immigration and Refugee Board.
David Carter is the co-founding partner of Grechi Carter Professional Corporation. His practice is focused on residential and commercial real estate law, private mortgage financing and mortgage enforcement work. He enjoys advising clients on structuring various real estate related business opportunities including real estate development, mortgage brokering, mortgage syndications, and establishing and administering private mortgage investment groups, companies and trusts.
Mr. Carter completed his JD law degree at Queen’s University, which included a certificate in International Public Law at Herstmonceaux Castle, in East Sussex, England. Before attending Queen’s, Mr. Carter received a BA from McGill University with a double major in Economics and History.
Mr. Carter is the co-author of the real estate law text book: Real Estate Transactions, 2nd Edition. He has taught as an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School and at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and is an ongoing teacher for the Real Property Investment Certificate Program offered in partnership with the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University. He has authored papers for the Six Minute Real Estate Lawyer and other conferences on topics including Time of the Essence, Outstanding Building Permits, Construction Financing and Mortgagees, Self-to-Self Power of Sales, s. 17 of the Mortgages Act, and CRA Super Priorities and Mortgages.
Al practices in the areas of corporate and securities law with an emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions, as well as advising companies with respect to securities regulatory compliance matters. He also acts on matters related to contested shareholder meetings. Al articled at a major energy corporation headquartered in Toronto, later joining the corporate finance department where he gained extensive experience drafting and negotiating financial and physical commodity and other agreements. Mr. Wiens joined Wildeboer Dellelce LLP in 2003.

Jonathan Rosenthal is a Toronto-based criminal defence attorney. His practice focuses on white collar matters and regulatory offences. He has appeared at every level of court in Ontario and the Supreme Court of Canada. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School with his LLB in 1987. He is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, where he is Director of the Trial Advocacy Program and Co-Director of the Intensive Program in Criminal Law. He is also the course director of the Advanced Certificate in Oral Advocacy and a Team Leader of the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop (ITAW), an annual course offered to practising lawyers by Osgoode Professional Development. He has served a similar function at the Intensive Trial Program offered to practising lawyers by the University of Moncton. He is also a Team Leader at Notre Dame Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Program. Vincenzo (Enzo) Rondinelli, LLB (Osgoode), LLM (Osgoode), is a judge of the Ontario Court of Justice. Before being appointed to the bench in 2017, he was a criminal defence lawyer in Toronto, where he argued appeals regularly before the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Justice Rondinelli joined the adjunct faculty at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2003. As a lawyer, he was awarded the inaugural Ontario Bar Association Award of Excellence in Criminal Justice in 2017.
